    p limited esc

What is available? Ive been thinking Aquacraft, but I see others as well. Are the Turnigy esc's any good? The 120, I think, is like50$

The Aquacraft 60 amp has been a mainstay for Limited boats for three years. It is clearly under-rated and survives just fine at 80+ amps. I'd run it before I'd run any Turnigy (other than the T-180). It's smaller and much cheaper than the ProBoat 60 amp too.

Lots of guys in my area running both ESC's reliably for a couple seasons. Now that the Hydra 120 is discontinued, they aren't bad options. I'm running converted Ice Lite 100's, but I drive sticks so it works easily for me. Pistix anyone?

I second that. Aquacraft 60amp. Still using my original esc from my UL-1 for 3+ years now.

The fastest spec sport guy in our gang is running the Aquacraft esc.

Check with your club/district. In IMPBA D12 only the PB-45, AQ-45, and AQ-60 are allowed for P-limited. I have asked about getting any 60 amp esc approved but no luck so far.

Where the ESC isn't restricted, the Turnigy Marine (not Aquastar) 120 will survive currents that melt the UL-1 motor. The Castle 100 with water cooling is another good choice. Both have lower internal resistance than the Aquacraft ESC.
