OK, probably a stupid idea. Could you take 2 identical speed controllers, program them identically, make sure the rotation is the same and then tie the input and output wires together, which would theoretically double the amperage capacity? Or would you just end up with a lot of expensive smoke?

I like this question but don't see how this will benefit anything as buying double amperage is usually cheaper than 2 ESC's. Timing will be critical as well "any" variance will cause the motor to overheat fast but would like too know if anybody has tried this?Kyosho K.I.T.T. -
The reason I ask is that there don't seem to be any 300 amp HV speed controllers anymore since Fightercat went out. Those run nice and cool on my 1527s and the Castle and Swordfish run appeciably hotter. And since I'm not afraid to ask dumb questions...Fast Electrics Have A Small Carbon Wake

No you can not put two controllers together like that. The esc has to be tyed together to the windings by splitting the windings in half and each esc see's it's own wires comming out the motor. This usually has to be acomplished when the motor is first being wound up so the 3 wires comming out can be split in two equally. I hope this makes sense.
