looks good but maybe a tad on the thin side.....only because of the torque forces being put on a motor, just a thought though.I would hope they dont warp or something on you.

mount looks good. i was gonna say, where you have the strut set is perfect, but i guess you plan to move it lower….

what you have there is a good starting point. most guys think the strut has to be lower but doing that causes the wah wahs. leave it right there and test. in fact you may even want it up more.

I would start at 1/8 above, so maybe nudge it up just another 1/8 or so to start. On my mean machine I run my strut up 1/4 above.

Pretty work. My concern with metal/aluminum mounts is how do you bond the aluminum to the hull? I would have suggested leaving extra metal to be bent to 90 degrees as a footing that could be glassed over. Edge bonding with cloth is prone to break loose, just a heads up.

Regarding the strut and shaft angle. Looks great from where I sit. Just remember the flex angle in the outboards is much more sever than anything you could wind up with so I think you should have no problems. One way to prepare for the final shaft angles and bends is to calculate the height difference between the floor of the motor mount and the bottom of the strut. whatever that dimension is make a block of wood to this dimension and set the mount on top and bend the shaft logg to a nice curve that enters the strut smoothly. This should give you enough wiggle room for any adjustments without stressing or kinking the shaft logg. I think you are good to go.

I think some jb weld for the job. I believe it's good for aluminum and fiberglass. I'm not sure epoxy is good for aluminum

                              JB Weld is epoxy.
