    Leo 3674 1900kv ?

Going to run the above motor in my impulse 31 with t120 esc and a m445 prop on 5s,
unloaded rpm is 35150 rpm and loaded is 29k rpms,
I feel this should be a good combo, what do you think?
Also the paper work that came with the motor states max voltage for that motor is like 31 volts which has got to be wrong and I would'ent even think about it, so why would they say this?

It may be based on running with no load on it. You might want to start with a smaller prop

I run the 2200kv on 4s and the best working prop is s215 if that helps.

Why 5s when 4s is good for 1500-2200kv motors? You can simply prop up with 4s to get close to 50 mph out of it............somewhere along the lines of an m445/x642,
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

The motor specs on voltages are correct but not for boat use, these specs are for car use where the motor is geared or aircraft use such as ducted fan aircraft where your only pushing air. Thats a lot of motor ecspecially on 5s for a 120a esc, youll be suprised at the amp draw on these motors in a boat.

            Thanks for the info.
tryed running today but had some problems, it seams that the esc went into lvc set at 3.2 volts, the boat took off real well for about 56-60 feet and then slowed down really fast, changed batterys and reprogramed same thing, not sure whats going on yet.
first run the prop was slipping do to collet not tight enought, tightened collect and same thing happend, then it got dark and can't work on it tommorrow , going to clearwater to see the super boat races.
            any suggest.

I'm going by the the voltage chart in this forum which says max voltage for 1900kv would be 5s, yes I will try 4s also w/a my m445

ESC may be shutting off on thermal over load, try 440 prop to find out.

This is a common problem on the T120a & Seaking 120a esc (both same esc), this also happens on the T180 & Seaking 180 esc. They have over sensitive lvc, you can lower the lvc to 3v or even 2.8v but you must keep an eye on when boat shows first sign of slowing at WOT you bring the boat in immidiatally so as not to take battery to low. Some also use no lvc at all & time run times.

Unloaded rpms would be closer to 40k and load is more like 35k

5s is fiine for this motor buy you need a smaller prop
a Grim 42x55 would be sweet for that motor on 5s, but you are pushing the T120 esc

It must have been the esc, the next day I ran the boat and droped the lvc to 3.0 and the boat ran great, and that was using a m545 with 5000mah 40-50c. 5s
brought the boat in before the lvc kicked in and temps on the motor were 114 and esc was 120.
I did not have the gps in it at this time but I would say it was in the 50s, still my best boat so far.
