    1527 1.5D- Delta Force 33

I've got a 1527 1.5D I want to put into a mono on 6s. Having no experience with monos, thought I'd garner opinions- is this motor to big? Will it just torque roll uncontrollably? Any other ideas for a suitable hull? Thanks.

I'd rather have too much power than make a motor struggle to get what you want out of it, the extra little bit of weight is easily carried by that motor. You have plenty of rpm's so just use a smaller prop to reduce torque roll.............what are you thinking of....?......m445, x642 would be on the milder side to consider.

I agree with wake, torque roll will be caused more by prop selection than motor size. I would go for it and start with an x642 or m445. You will see lower temps by having a motor that can easily do the job, rather than a smaller motor that you are pushing to get the speeds you're looking for. Example is my df26 on Leo 4074 2200kv. It's a rocket and motor only gets to 90 degrees on a full run at wot on x440/3.

        i was running a df 35 with a 1527 1.5 D and a octura x450 prop.
no torque roll problems...easy 65 mph....problem is keeping it in the water...with a df 33...you re asking for perfect trim and big mah 6S2P for dont letting him fly....

        best regards

That's about what I figured, folks. I'll use 4 Hyperion 5000 mah 3s wired for 6s so plenty of amperage/weight. Thanks for the prop suggestions- I'll start small and watch amps/temps.

your temps arent gonna be an issue with that motor, more like start with small props to see how the boat itself handles. that motor can take a a pretty good sized prop without issue.
