    mounting water pickup's help please

    Hi to everyone that views this

    i am about to mount my water pickups in the bottom of the hull in my 34" cheetah i was thinking about mounting them about 2" from the back then after doing some reading they say to mount them as far back as i can so i was think about 1/2 inch from the back does that sound right to everyone.........then i was thing befor i mount them to drill them out and putting in bigger tubing in them for better water pickup does anyone think that would help or should i just leave them alone ......Thanks Jim

    If it was me, I would move it back as close to the Transom as you can.

      Yeah.........move it to almost the end of the tape

          hi Justski,

          I would move them back but I would not open them up anymore than they are now. The bore should be quite enough to pull in the water you need
