    NIMH Batteries. HELP!

Hello. I recently purchased some Powerizer 4200mah nickel metal cells from Batteryspace.com. Upon recieving them, I checked them with a volt meter so I could match them up before building packs. Out of 42 cells, 12 of the cells read 0 volts, one at .09 volts, and one at .59volts. I thought that even dead cells should give some type of reading, but not zero! This worries me. What sould each cell be reading? Is zero volts a problem? Anyone?

When you receive them they should all be close to equal.
Zero is a bad cell. NO matter what. They may charge back up but they will eventually mess up a good pack.
