Delta Force Explorer 36 Catamaran Fiberglass Hull.

    Hi everyone
Thinking of my next build. Would it be feasible to build this hull with single drive on 6s.
"Delta Force Explorer 36 Catamaran Fiberglass Hull"
What would be the suggestions for drive units. Motor, ESC, stinger, trim and rudder.
If answer is not realistic, what would you recommend in cat or hydro with single drive in the 33" plus size?
    Thanks

You could do a SprintCat. The guys have been having trouble getting the DF to do corners.Probably like my FC Shocker. The AM Sprintcat is a good race type hull that handles quite well.

Sprint is ugly as heck but does corner and run great.

Absolutely, it is very feasible. A motor in the 4082 to 4092 range with a Kv around 1200 to 1400 will get you good speed and reliability. A Castle ICE 240 works great for my 6S cat. No stinger, use a strut with rudder attached to the mount, either offset to the right or behind the prop.

What are your goals for the cat? As the others have stated the skinny scale cats don't corner at a high speed, you have to slow down just like the full scale offshore cats do, but they look cool and can run fast in a straight line. If you want to race the cat then there are others which would work better.

Wow 1600kv on 6s and your still getting a 4 min run, that is great. I may have to pick one of these hulls up for next season. Will it run Wide open in the turns like my Sprint Cat?

I cannot drive this thing well yet...its easy to over steer and then it will spin out..once i can get my steering trim endpoints down i will be able to turn it pretty damn close to full tilt...i still think the sprintcat is probably the best cat besides the team believer ever for turning but the cheetah is no slouch..

I am getting awesome runtime 10,000 mah 6s2p like 4.5 minutes which is plenty for me

Ever consider making it a twin? I have a pair of ARC 3665 motors that I ran in my DF Explorer for sale in the swap shop...perfect for this hull.

Kind of like the Sprintcat. Hull looks tight, is there room for two 6S?
