    cyberstorm 32 motor question

I have seen people saying that a castle 1515 1y isnt enough to push a df cyberstorm...how true is this as I would want to run 4s2p on a t180 w m445 prop? Some are saying go with a 4082 or larger motor...any input yay or nay.I just thought its only a touch longer than a df29 and they like 1515 setups hmmm

There are several racers with Cyber 32's running UL-1 motors in P-Ltd Mono & P-Ltd Offshore. Jim Osborne, among others, kicked some serious butt with his at the last Nat's. The late Capt'n Ron (Ron Green) seriously encouraged me to go 1515 1y instead of 1521 1.5D in my DF33 (which runs wetter than a Cyber 32)and it BOOGIED with the
1515 1y and heat raced with a M447 (green boat in camera from 52 sec. in) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVgyk5KGceo

Like a good sheep I followed the flock [baaa baaa] and changed over to the 1521 a year later and my speeds didn't increase. Some people, trying to be helpful say what they think. I'm telling you what I've done, seen with my own three eyes, and raced against

      I agree with tony.
I like my 1515 way more than the motor it replaced ( a Leo 4082) in my mm.
The mm isn't exactly an easy hull to move thru the water, and the Neu does a far better job than the larger canned 4082 did. Quality brutha

Who's saying that?? Its simply not true, that quality, 4 pole 4074, which is highly efficient is perfect for that hull, should get it up around 45-47 mph with an m445.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

The 1515 1Y motor is very appropriate and happy on a 4S rig. At roughly 35.5K RPM, it's rippin' big holes in the H20 and making purdy music

Just for sh*ts & grins I dropped a 1515 1Y Neu into my old Titan29. (It's OK Bro, sometimes us girls just wanna have fun. )

I'm running mine on 5s2p, and it rips. Just make sure to prop down. I'm using m440

                Sport running or racing?

If you are planning to have a lead sled 2P setup the 1515 1Y should do just fine. If you are using a 1P setup it will do even better if the hull is setup properly.
