The CG is at 31 cm from transom right now,.The pickups are so small I dont think it would make any difference but I dont really know...This same hull with the Leopard 5698 ran perfectly but the Leo was lighter hense the CG I got 100km/h with the Leo so I am sure the hull can do it....
That puts your CG about 28%, too far aft IME. Do not move the motor back until you have removed the water pickups. Tyler is spot on in his comments, and I had not noticed the rudder you have. It may work and I'd try it without the sponson pickups before I replaced it, but SpeedMaster hardware is the best and we know how it works on these hulls.

There is more going on than just the motor change, if the boat ran 100 before it will run faster now once you have it set up right. A club member with this boat, a 2028 and a rather mild x457/3 prop recorded 101 km/h with the CG at 30% - before he blew off. No need to do major surgery yet (other than the pickups).

      Hi Guys
Before I read your last posts I had already moved the motor foward by about 12mm and the ESC can now also move back a bit.I had to remove the driveline to replace it to a non teflon one, so I thought I would do the motor at the same time. I have started removing the water pickups from under the hull and as soon as I have my new skegged strut will bolt it on but we are having labour strikes again and transport companies are too scared to send out trucks as they are being set on fire or stoned - Scary but thats Africa !!. So not sure when my strut will arrive but as soon as I am able to run boat I will give you feedback. While I wait I will also flatten out the ride pads.
Thank you all and have great days
      Cheers
      Graeme

        Graeme,

While waiting for you skegged strut, fix the box and remove the sponson pickups and retest with the round bottom strut.
