    T-120 doa

still a little green in the boating world but i have a revolt stock motor but have put a T-120 ESC in. friday run the boats with a x442 prop, 4s 5000 mah (crazy chime walk) but in less than a minute dead in the middle of the pond. When i got it in (15-20 minutes later) poped the top and the ESC was still to hot to touch almost, once cooled still does not work so i assume shot. i believe it was not getting any water as it has a separate pick-up but believe was not getting water at speed. does this sound right and is the esc DOA

That speedo should come in at 120* or less right after a run, if it sat and was still very hot it wasnt getting cooling, sounds like it could be dead. Are the Capacitors bulged on the ends?

Well, what have you found out? Is your T-120 really toast? I know several guys said it would be but just to give you some hope I still think you have a shot. Cut-off the shrink wrap. Check all your solder points. If you heated it up pretty good I have seen solder connections let go. Nothing to loose, check it out. The T-120 has a electrical thermal link component on the circuit board that can open up. Solder a bridge across it and you might save the ESC. , you have nothing to lose.
