    6.5mm bullet lipo charging? How?

Hey, guys! I am considering upgrading to 6.5mm bullet connectors because I have a stock Spartan that I am uprgrading to a Seaking 180amp ESC and a Leopard 4082 1600kv motor. I will be running two 3s lipos in series for a total of 6s. Normally, I parallel charge my Spartan lipos, but I don't think I have 6.5mm bullet charge connectors.

    1. How would I charge my lipos once I put the 6.5mm bullets on them? Will I just have to solder 6.5mm bullets on to a charge cable that I already have, or can you buy charge cables with 6.5mm bullet connectors, or an adapter or what?

    2. Many people say "5.5mm bullet minimum" for connectors, but others have said that EC5's work well, and some people say they use Traxxas connectors. What's the deal? I just want an easy, reliable set up that performs well.

Thx in advance for all responses!

Either solder some connectors on your charging cable or do what I did and make up a plug setup on the charger wires so I can connect different adapters for different batteries. Still have to make up the individual adapters but I can now charge everything from TX batteries to my full sized truck battery with a set of alligator clips.
Don't use EC5's terrible connectors, plus they limit your battery connection choices without a bunch of added connectors in the boat.
I thought they were great at first, within two weeks I was replacing them all with proper bullets.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

use alligator clips on the charge leads, that way you can charge anything (4mm 5.5, 6.5 8mm whatever!!) I've been using them to charge batts for 25 years, you're only charging between 5-10 amps most so it's no need to use bullets on the charge leads.

Ok, I can use alligator clips up to 10 amps, but what if I get a bigger, like, 20 amp charger? Could I still use alligator clips for a 20 amp charger?

The reason I am asking is because I currently only have a 6amp charger (Thunder AC680), but I use two 3s 8400mah, and two 2s 12800mah lipos for my Spartan, and I prefer to parallel charge each set. So, that's 16.8 amps and 25.6 amps for each set. Because of this, I am planning on getting a bigger charger, so it doesn't take multiple hours to charge each set of lipos.

Here's what I use, and you can put on what ever connectors you want.
