    lipo wiring question

Is it possible to move the tap wires from two 2s packs into one tap, so that it would charge as a 4s pack? The reason being there is not enough clearance for a 4s pack, trying to eliminate charging twice. Using polyrc 18c 4270s and a cellpro charger.

Are you just charging through the taps, or using the main power wires as well?
I would think that it would work if you charge through the taps, just like a 4S.

Looking forward to hearing other opinions as well.

      Doozie...

Here is a link to a thread here on this forum where I described how you can charge two 2S packs as a single 4S pack using a fabricated balancer tap... In this case, it's for a PolyRC style tap and is intended for use with a Hyperion balancer/charger, but since you mentioned that you are using PolyRC packs, this should work... Just make sure you head the cautions and have the packs at the same level of charge to start with...

I use the setup dari linked on occasion and it works fabulous!
i even use it to charge 4 2s packs in 8S with two LBA's and it works just as great!
but be sure you run the cells thogther so that the cells balanced before and while you charge

Thanks for the diagram. So if I wanted to make this permanent without an adapter and use the male from the left pack, I would join the red from the right pack to the black on the right from the left pack, then move it from slot 5 to 3 and lastly move the other two blacks over?
