This is the best place for you to "start", you will find many of your questions answered here, then we can help with the specifics. This is very good info.

Be sure to come back with more "specific" questions as that link is great but it generalizes alot since there is no exact science.

I was noticing your Avatar and wondering what that was............neat lookin rig!!

Keep your rpms in the 30-35,000 rpm zone for the motors.

Hey Jim, thought I'd answer your pm here to keep others in the loop who may have input too.

Have you built/ran any RC boats before? I hope the link to the RC boat introduction helped.

Twins are a bit twitchy to set up at times. Firstly you need two ESC's, I would go with the Turnigy/Seaking 120a 2-6s model which can be found from $49 to $89. I would also recommend 4s to each motor. You will need two 4s 40c 5000 packs.

For motors I would recommend for a "kick-ass" setup as you had mentioned, the Leopard 4074 2000kv 4 polers. Steven sells them here and he backs his products very well..............you can buy with confidence!

He is currently offering free water cooling jackets for the motors too.

For stingers I would go with the Speedmaster 3/16 model, sold here as well...........make sure they will fit in the "footprint" area of the sponson. For props you will need one for each direction and I would recommend the x447 L + R rotation. You will also need two flexshafts, one for each direction............L + R. A waterproof Traxxas 2075 will do the job in the steering dept.......sold here too.

              Props:

Stingers:research the footprint for room on your sponsons)

My name is Carl, and i would probably go with the FC stingers since they are "made" for it.............

The power setup I suggested should have that boat screaming along!

If you have 300 per motor I would buy Neu motors.

Unless your very skilled I would try a single first as I have found it can be very frustrating if your rc model won't do what you want it to do. Least if you have a single to use you can build a twin and still have a decent boat for kicks. Just my opinion.
