        Does something smell around here,,,,,oh yeah,,,,gas boats

        Seriously though, the main deterrent for gas and nitro boats is the noise, plain and simple. No-one wants them running around their homes/ work etc.

        Personally I would love someone to come up with batteries that smell like nitro, its a great smell.

          Sorry Guy's, my testing pond in 3.2 miles from my house... Our Dallas R/C Thunderboat club pond is in about 18 miles away...
          Nothing like keeping you lipos warm and your prop wet!!

            Yep, noisy ,stinky, nasty gas boats. The things we do for fun.

              We have been racing on our lake for years with nitro boats, and more recently gas and FE, but new houses are being built closer and closer and some of these 'recent arrivals' have complained to the council about the noise
              We now have to insist that no boats exceed 87 db or we will lose the use of the lake.
              Most lawn mowers make more noise than that.!!!!
              It doesn't make any difference that we were there first
