So Tyler show him what a nice prop looks like.

Regardless, the upper speeds will take a lot of work where as the lower speeds are pretty obtainable even with the set-up a little off.

Counter rotating props like Octura X450's

That is a 70 mph set-up with reasonable amp draw. Prop up to go faster.

We're basically recommending the same thing since 4092's are very close to being equal to a 1717(45 x 85mm) in power. I also recommended 450's, but the 3 bladers. 4092's will not be as tight to fit in as well.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

I found these at a great price. They will go fast.

I would start out with a twin 6S system for the following reasons:
-There are several good 6S twin combinations that are known to work reliably
-You can get away with a single 6S pack per side
-If you have a twin charger you can charge both packs at once.

If you go 8S or higher you are more than likely looking at 4 batteries in total which also means two chargers assuming you want to charge everything at once. For example two 4S packs in series to produce a single 8S1P pack per side. You also need to make sure you can fit four batteries in there.

For hardware: Look for a stinger that has a transom mount and an overhang mount. The transom only mounts tend to bend in crashes. A single rudder with twin pick-ups is advised unless you want to use flush sponson water pick-ups. .187" cable should work fine, use with teflon lined stuffing tubes running into the stingers.

I would suggest the following power combo:

          Castle 1717's
          Castle Ice 240 ESC's
6S 45C or better 5000mAh pack per side

A member on our forum is doing a build similar to this right now, but using Sirius 1717 motors. The 1717s CAN fit in the sponsons of a Fantasm, but it's a very tight fit and will require some creative work to get them angled correctly.

True the 1717's are probably a bit of a squeze. Castle 1520's are a similar kv and will fit better if you can find them.

I thought about building one with a single 2280 for SAW's but that will wait to next year.

I plan on building one with twin 1518s and taking it to make some SAW passes at the race in Flint this October. I believe Joel will be taking his twin 1717 powered Fantasm there as well, so it will be interesting to see how they do.

Yes sir...I'll be there! Working day and night to complete this build and get her dialed in.

I'm sure I'll be able to talk some of the other MMEU psycos to come with. The SAWs are entertaining if nothing else. Slow paced event but fasssst boats. If I ever get this Q sport settled down, maybe I'll bring it.

I'm already looking at another boat. The Genesis 1420mm with a pair of SSS 5694 800kv running on 12s 130c and a pair of 400 amp esc's
I'm going to sell one of my trailers to do this one.
