    new to rc boats, plz help.

    hi guys , Im new to this boating thing, and would some help from u pros, a friend gave me a 30" Jerry Dunlap design
    tunnel hull . I would like to run electric setup on it , using O.S. lower .
    what motor, prop, and ESC , should I use, and what C rating of battery r u using 30c , 60c,??
    sorry if this haves been asked before, butt I dont want to put tons of money into it an then walk away,
    because it wont run RIGHT,,, thanks ,

    I'd do an AquaCraft 2030kv motor, 60 or 120amp esc and run it 4s.

      I agree with above. Use highest c rating possible. You can never have too much of that, but you can have not enough.

        ok, so what type of prop with a 2030 kv motor, an would 4000milly amp battery 4 cell work?

          4000mah would be fine. I would measure the dimensions of your tunnel's tray area. Different brands of lipos can be different dimensions. Usually the lipo LxWxH is listed on sites. For example, Turnigy lipos are very wide with less height, while Venom lipo's have more height. As for prop I would try to look in the "prop talk" section of the site. Lots of variations. i see a lot using Prather props - such as S225.

            Whoa!! Is the s225 just your example of the Prather numbering system? Cuz an s225 is way too big for that motor on 4s. An s225 has the same total pitch as an x450!! He should use an s215 max, or an x440/442.
