Another NOT so great day at the lake

Well, finially got a 3 cell lipo to try out in my boat, (protek 4000mah seems to be pretty good so far) Well today I ran it and the cog needed moving forward some but I didn't get it enough because it was still catching air, a few flips later I noticed a huge chunk of paint missing from the bottom. There are no scratches around the missing chunk so I don't think that I hit a stick or anything like that. I am thinking that the bottom flexed too much for the paint. Its weird because the wood was covered in fiberglass resin and then primed with PPG auto primer and then painted with all ppg paint and clear, but it took that all off down to the bare wood, so now I am trying to think about what I want to do, try and fix the paint, just put some epoxy on it and keep running it, or shelf it and get something else.

Any suggestions on a hull that can be powered on a 540 3500kv motor on 3 cell lipo and use a 3/16 strudder? Thanks

The little spot in the third pic above the huge chunk is from a previous mishap I filled it with epoxy.

was driving my SW 36, i was at the other end of the pond from where my boat was, got to close to the sea wall, got caught up on a drain tile entering the pond at around 20mph. Bounced the hull off the cement block sea wall. did some fiberglass damage nothing too serious, broke my rudder clean off, destroyed my x645 prop

so where is that? in the same area as the motor? I would use some 100-120grit sand paper and rough up the wood(a bit try not to go through the top ply), then epoxy over it. sand smooth, fill in any hollows with either spot putty or bondo. paint if desired(call it a battle scar)
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in

That smell rules, your not a real FE boater unless you have at least one hull that stinks to high heaven

Guess I will add my bad day at the pond last Sun

Here is a pic of the almost repaired transom that got ripped off on my N-2 sport hydro last Sun. The screws pulled out of the rudder mount a bit, but the fiberglass seam decided to split as well.

Well I'm glad to know that i'm not the only one to have a little unwanted things to happen when running. At least my esc didn't go boom like Eyekandyboats, sorry to hear about that man. Thats a little spendy.

Hey Mr eye candy Did the speed control frying actually blow your hatch off?
On my boat in my avatar pic that happened to me if it wasn't for the hatch tape my hatch would have gone skyward, there was a gnarly blue flash out the back of my boat I was sick I thought for sure it was going down, and after you get a grand invested into one of these things you know just what I mean, it is like your girl friend or something! you rub on it polish it buy it new things and go play with it, and to watch it blow up Awggghhh you almost want to cry, we all put a lot of love in to our work,

Here is to better days at the lake, and by the way mine still has the battle scar, whats a little scar between friends?
