Ok so I bought my son a Aqaucraft Mini Rio, both of ours first RC Boat. After owning the boat less than a month I have already modded the prop and motor. It is perfect for him, problem is now Daddy has the bug for a bigger, faster, better boat!
I have been doing a lot of research online and I think I have pretty much decided on a Catamaran Style or Hull. The boats I am looking at or thinking of are the Aquacraft Wildcat, Thunder Cat Desperado, Exceed Racing 650mm, Etc. Now I would love to own a Miss Geico, Motley Crew, Black Jack however I'm not sure I am ready to spend that much yet. I am looking for any and all suggestions regarding what boat I should get. All I know is i don't want Nitro, today with all the Brushless and Lipo Battery advancements Electric is what I want. My reasons for Catamaran are for smooth driveability purposes. My sons V Hull or Mono seems to bounce around a lot on the pond we have been running on. I was told "Cats" are more stable and faster with the exception of rough waters which we dont have here. I want something fast, if I can help it I would like to stay under $300, but if you strongly suggest in spending the extra money my arm could be twisted towards the Motley Crew, Black Jack, Miss Geico Cat Boats. Thanks for your time and thoughts and experiences.
