    Hydra 120 Bad Solder Joint!!!!

I had a hydra 120 solder joint go bad. I tried to fix it and afterwards the esc started smoking. I was running on a y535 prop on 3s in a miss vegas. I was in the process of going up in props when I noticed the joint broken, it was on one of the capicators. Do you think they will warranty this or am I stuck with it.

I would send Joe Ford a PM here and see what he says. My guess would be that you'll pay $105.00 for a new control.

What motor are you running? What is the total length of your battery leads, what connectors are you using?

    Sorry you had a problem,
    Doug

I was running a 9xl with a 3 cell 4000 mah lipo in a electric converted Miss Vegas with the y535 prop. Using 4 mm bullet connectors and the wires are stock length. No cutting on the esc, I just put the ends on.Batteries are stock length also.
