    New boat time, or upgrade

so i already have a traxxas spartan and a revolt 30 which lately the battery took a crap but thats a different forum to talk about. So im quite bored with both of them and im looking for something faster or a way to make one of these two faster. Any recommendations as to what boat to buy or what to buy for my boats?

oh and im looking to stay electric and mono hull for now :)

If you look under the Ready to run section towards the bottom of the forum page theirs a Traxxas section that deals with the Spartan. Lots of upgrade info on making the boat much faster & safer to run re burn ups on the Spartans, some are getting over 60mph with motor & esc changes along with different prop info.

Sure, you could upgrade and make your boat faster…I’ve done that many times with good results.

However, another option you might consider is building your own, assuming you have the creative juices and motivation/cash to do so (great knowledge and pride of ownership will be the end result).

Anyway, you might want to consider this option as the information on this forum is extensive to say the least, you’ll find almost every hull on the market in the build thread archives with detailed pictures and instructions on how to “do it yourself”.

      Either way, good luck

If you are already bored with these two, you will be bored with another one just as soon, why don't you look into building one youself? That might be fun. I have been there, but I did my first build and so many good people helped me with ideas and know-hows. The experience was gratifying.
When you see the transformation from a bare hull to a fully decked out FE , you will relish the time, labor and care you invested in the boat.
Check out all the mono hulls that OSE carries, I am sure you will find something that will strike your fancy.
Here are some pictures that showed the progress of my build:

Your wish for something to go 70 mph is understandable, everyone loves speed. The question is have you done any builds yourself? I say this not because I am underestimating you: speaking for myself I tend to be conservative with my ability when starting a new project. My goal for the Lizard Xtreme was in the mid-40's. I could have chosen a more ambitious set-up, the hull is a very deep-v and sure could handle more speed, but the thought of doing something overly aggressive bothered me, so I opted a mild setup. I must say when I maidened the boat I was happy to see how well she ran.
I bought a boat two years ago and it is a DF Sniper 45 with a Neu 2230 1y, running 12s, yes, that will get you 70 mph. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=df-sniper http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...u-2230&cat=117 .
Like thomaslambo said, expense is another consideration, you need to set your target not just on speed alone. A well running boat doing 50 mph is a pleasure, a boat that is pushed beyond its capability and is nervous will get you bored in no time.
            just my $.02
