Is this motor dead, fried, caput?

    Hi Guys,

I just run my Outlaw Jr this morning and after the 1st run the boat stalled in the water, then run again and stalled once again. I brought it ashore and out of the water tested the motor and it kept stalling. Inspected collet, and propeller shaft and they looked fine. I disconnected everything and then manually rotated the propeller shaft clockwise and it seemed to do fine then counterclockwise and it got stuck a few times .

    Thx

If it stopped working there is a good chance it is burnt up. What does it smell like

        TheShaughnessy,

Actually I fixed the issue today. Since none of the electronics smelled burnt, I went ahead and unmounted the motor, disconnected the ESC and in the process found the black bullet connector was super loose so I adjusted the contact groves with a mini flat head screw driver and reconnected back. I also took the oportunity to disassemble the motor, clean the inside and oil the bearings so now is running like a champ .
