Which rigger best suited to aquacraft sv27 or proboat 1500kv motor with 45 amp esc?

    Hi All,

Just asking the question which rigger would be best suited on 4s1p with a sv27 or proboat 1500 motor with a aquacraft or proboat 45 amp esc. These are the motors/ escs we allow in our restricted classes of racing here in Australia and we are thinking of expanding our classes to include riggers. Would the above power system power a Jae21FE ok or would we have to go with the smaller Jae 12g rigger? What other riggers are out there that would work with the above mentioned power system? What size prop would be needed for these motors? Would the Jae12g fit a 4s1p 5000/5500 into the front compartment of the rigger?

    Hope you can help out.
    Thanks

They would work great in the JAE21, plenty of guys run the Limited motors in that hull. I don't know how large a pack will fit.

Re the JAE21 fe battery sizes, i know someone that gets 6s 5000mah in the battery compartment. They have also gone up to 8s with a 2s added to the 6s, the 2s sits in the front compartment where the esc would normally go. He fitted the esc in the rear along with the motor. This isnt with the motors you mention but just to give an idea of what can go in the JAE 21 fe.

        Trev,

I think the JAE21 would be the best. The 12 is a fair bit smaller, I seriously doubt you'd get a 4S pack in one. The Rigged Insanity would be another option, but I don't know much about them.

Prop? Big one! Add a couple of mm to whatever you were running in your Lifter, but in a hydro style. I have read that Brian's Raptor rigger likes smaller props better, so it's probably not suitable for the lower kV motors.

        Cheers,
        Scott
