wich motor to go fast with 20" mono?

    hi guys
wich motor to go fast with that 20" stepped mono?
it's my first homemade hull in carbon fiber

    DSCF1864.jpg

    i test with 300w motor (align 430x from my t-rex 450)
    3s 2200
    40A esc

    i can put 120 esc with 3s 4500mah
    or
    40A with 6s 2200mah

    Boat looks nice!
I'd say a leopard 2845 or maybe a 2860. If you want 3S I'd go with something around 2500KV for a cool, reliable setup. If you want a rocket then something closer to 3000KV.

Leopard 2860 2Y on 3s, as Chieftan suggested, will make the boat scream

What prop are you running now? What motor?

              ty ^^
              i'm looking for leopard 2845, 2860 or perhaps ul1 motor, i want a rocket
don't want a reliable setup just want to see if it can handle over 50mph, to see if i can build it bigger

my prop is a 33mm from china and motor : http://www.hobby-wing.com/align-430x...-3550kv--.html
this motor run faster with k27 graupner but can't put it on that strut

yeah i'm a beginner with polyester resin an gel coat, i have made this hull for fun in 2 weeks, i have to work quickly and fine if i want to sell some of them,
don't know price of hull like this, i can make another for sale but i'm from france

                  hknx,
That is a sweet looking little boat!! What did you base the hull design on?
How much does the joined hull weigh?
Construction details? Wet lay up, or prepreg? Vaccume bag, or mechanical clamp? I know there is at least 2 layers in there.

Nice. In the U.S. we generally do not run stepped hulls, so most would be interested in them only if they are non-stepped. That initial carbon fiber boat you show is really great.

based design hull on airfoil profil

don't change motor yet just put it on 4s with a x428 prop and it's not hot
i'll try with leopard when my actual motor will burn :)

i don't know wich prop put on it to go faster

                        x532
                        or
                        x632?

never try prop with those pitch
i just want to see if it can handle 50mph?
already make it in 34" to make mold
