    I agree with Jason,
Post the classes for sign up and cut them if there are not enough entries for that class.
If that happens in a class for too many years then propose cutting the class permanently.
Another point I need to air....If you never attend the Nat's then respectfully "Bud Out".
A lot of us that faithfully attend these nat's have a awfull lot invested into our fleets
of boats. So for calls to limit the amount of classes from those who do not attend....
well let's just say that is not right. Enough said !

Another question about cutting classes. Are we trying to make the Nat's a 2 or 3 day event ?
The reason that I ask is at some point cutting all these proposed classes will simply push
us into a shorter schedule. I for one say "Do not try to fix what is not broke".
Hope I have not offended anyone, but this needed to be posted.
    Thanks,

I agree with this part whole-heartedly... However... N2 is a "dying" class, with participation dwindling year by year...

I suggest it has to do with the cost/benefit of running a class like this. It's VERY hard on equipment under it's current format with wide open power systems.

Again, I don't really have a dog in this fight, but my suggestions above might/would/could help with this, and might/would/could bring the class back to where it used to be and more in line with how it probably should be...

I think that Wilmer and Randy have actually proposed running a class as I've described at the next Nats... (ROAR 540/550 sized motors on 2S)

NO worries to me either way... Just tossing around some thoughts... A Natural thinning of the herd is a fine too...

No I was throwing around a 4S 1/8 buggy motor class but I was convinced that P LTD did the job just fine.

I have several N2 Neu set up boats and do not want to reinvest.

I really miss the true 1/16 Scale on a small course. Those days are long gone.

Those 1/8th scale buggy motors are essentially Neu 1515 1Y style motors, just like the Losi 1/8th I ran in my P-Sport and P-Mono at the Nats... super fast, basically open P power systems...

I hear you... I'm not the one talking about dropping the class... it's killing itself on a National level all on it's own...

The power systems I've mentioned would make this viable again... Popular? Who knows??, but 1/16th scale-ish sized boats would be the norm...

Honestly, I don't think anyone is suggesting doing anything with N2... I don't know anyone who wants to put that target on their back. I was just throwing out an idea on how the class COULD be revitalized... Not trying to start a fight...

The course of time will do with the class what it will... Just like with N1, ECO, 1/10th Scale Crackerbox, etc...

I too like my N2 boats and don't believe we should mess with the current spec of that class. It's true that at a regional very participation is very low, but at national level events entries are pretty good. N2 is a unique challenge for the power system that requires more patience and tinkering than most other hulls. I equate this to a 21 hydro for those familar with nitro. 21 nitro's are probably the highest strung nitro motors and require more detail than other nitro classes to make them sing.

There are one or two other people in the club in Florida that run N2 also.

One of my favorite Nito classes... It's much easier to blow up something in an N2 boat than a .21 hydro... BUT when you blow up a motor in the .21 hydro class usually it sounds best right before that wrist pin, rod, or crank pin goes... LOL Reminds me of a dremel tool spooling up!
