I just Quacked Up ; Anyone else Interested ??

For months now, my buddy Tyler's been sticking this under my nose at races. Well, finally last Saturday I could resist no longer. A deal was struck, and now one more addition to the fleet. There's been a lengthy discussion some time ago : http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...kerbox-Ruleset about a 1/6 scale CB class. I know that they run at Winter Warmups in AZ, which would be the next chance I could race this if I so decide and I can fit it into the rules. It's too soon to decide whether to keep & rig it, sell it, or leave it sitting on the shelf - 'tho the front deck graphic is way too close to what my ex looks like and the first night it scared the heck out of me thinking she was back

It's 32.5 " long (which may be a smidge over the 1/6 stipulation) and 9.75" wide across the transom. FG construction, way high-dollar flawless finish/graphics. [Drivers in the photo making a guest appearance from my JS btw]

She's scary-beautiful and I'm looking for opinions/feedback. It is POSSIBLE to come up with more of these hulls, but I absolutely can not discuss this openly at this time, sorry. Enjoy :

I still have a 1/4 scale gas crackerbox sitting in my basement. Got to dig it out and fire it up one of these days. I'd like to see an FE one available. Crackerboxes are a BLAST to drive.

Todd, the SMB runs these as what's apparantly an exhibition class at the Winter Warmup race. Over the years I've watched them run with some mild interest, but was focused on the Jersey Skiff last year in AZ. The official NAMBA CB class is 1/10 scale ; this one is 1/6 scale (or close). I'll be finding out more in a few days about what is allowable. I just read all 8 pages of this link http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...kerbox-Ruleset and it freaked me out with all the controversy, with no apparant resolution, at least from what I got from the thread. (there's more of the same on the Red forum)

I'm a little dismayed at the lack of response to the JS, and CB's likely may also get overlooked. Too bad- FE is supposed to be fun and the almost exclusive emphasis on FUN=FAAAAST prevents some real good times. Maybe I'm getting too old, but trust me, I do have some FAAAAST boats too

Does the graphic look like your "EX" with or without makeup?
