Well Fluid, Looks like you helped me use logic instead of my wallet to decide to stick with the 35". Any opinions on either the DF Pirate or the or the DF35?
How about with or without rails??? Not sure what the rails are for and how I could have that as a choice. Want to order Monday when OSE reopens. Can you tell I'm going to have lots of questions? I am counting on you guys to assist me throughout this build.
    Thanks In advance.

      Hello everyone

Need to make a decision on the Hull by Monday. Please don't make me flip a coin! LOL

DF Pirate or the or the DF35?
All opinions are welcome and encouraged.

Looks like the rails are for motor mounting, is that correct?

Katy racer the biggest vee hulls I own are Df29 and I would say no rails I think it let's you have more flexibility with batteries mainly getting then lower in the water just my opinion if you want pics ill snap a couple the batteries are set on the very outside of the hull affecting turning abit

Ok I see. The rails are used to mount motor etc. and batteries can be positioned anywhere on the other side of the rails. Move forward or rear to move CG. Mounting batteries on the side looks as if it mounts them higher in the hull. Is that a negative?

Sorry about the spelling of your name that was my phone I think without the rails you have more options if I built this I would put the motor further back an the batteries lower in the hull improving the ceter or gravity

Don't worry about spelling. My phone makes look crazy all the time.
Looking at and liking a little etter, the canopy on the Pirate. The DF 35 looks a little sleaker.

Very cool. What are the two sizes. How do you think that will translate to the 35".

Both 29" same hull I would think and have discussed with my bud JesseJ a 1527 1500kv neu and a t180 on 6s and say a x646 for starters or at least that was my plan for my next build a 35 inched

Figured it will take $700 to $1000 to complete less would mean more left for next project. :)

Yeh I will do that but it will be slow project because of work schedule. Also my lack of knowledge. :)

Plan on ordering hull Monday and start prepping it. Do I need to get motor, mountains stuffing tube prior to cf reinforcing the hull. Also want to add flotation. Figured that is a much later step.
