I took out my power plant out of my spartan which was a nemesis gold 1250kv from finedesignrc and a speaking 80hv esc and running the stock spartan prop for lipo I'm running two venom 5400 batteries in series. The boat is running cool motor and esc no over heating or even getting hot.it is getting up and running good but my spartan was running faster with this set up. I notice my prop setting can go up more its set to factory setting can this make difference my vemon batteries are not new neither they at lest a year old .can this be my issue I have a brass prop also which ran well on my Spartan I will try it out next run. I have a lot of Turk with this motor when u turn by hand u can feel it its not a screamer and high rpm but have lot of Turk can handle 10s easy . Help want to be faster than my spartan with the stock set up I'm just a little bit faster . Want to be in the 60s at least with 6s .I will greatly appreciate any advice on what to do to get my gensis running like know it can

I would upgrade the prop to a x445 or x447 and start there. You should monitor esc temps very carefully as that esc is a little on the small side for a low kv motor and big prop. You should have no problem getting the Genesis to run faster than the spartan. -
If you want to be in the 60's with 6s, you will need a much larger prop or a motor with the 1600kv.Steven Vaccaro

Thx for the info I took out the motor and put in. The motor that came with the Spartan the castle one the second version for now .what motor would be the best in to put in. I want to run 8s in it to reach that 70 mark .do u think that the one nemesis motor I got an o so with the bigger props and better esc . Which esc should I get to run 8s. Do u think gensis with the Spartan motor would run OK for now with the 80hv esc I got on 6s u think I can see at lest 50 I got a 442 prop to try out alsoComment

You might get close with the 1250kv motor and 8s lipo. A 240hv esc should work with what you have.Steven Vaccaro
