I pulled the stock solder out and used new solder on the wires and esc..

      Todd,

I think Tyler and the Doc have it right. You need to put the wires through the holes and then solder. You'll get more mechanical contact. See ya!

Im running a sk 180 with shortened wires, 8mm bullets, 4082 1550kv, x447-3 de-tounged&cupped in a cyber storm without any issues...Also using 2x Turnigy 40c 3000mah 6s packs in parallel...Also use a lead free high quality solder..Kinda looks like you got some cold soldering going on there. You know what a cold solder joint is right? Its when you solder the joint together and you move the joint while its cooling..A good solder joint will look like polished chrome without a dull look.Quality solder also has a good polished look.Go to your electric supply store and tell them you want some good low resistance 70/30 rosin core solder...Seriously, the more polished look the solder joint is, the better it is...

            sweet bro!
I really think its the fact of the small amount of wire I had on two of the motor leads..
and maybe its the quality of the solder I'm using? I'm using radioshack 60/40 rosin-core
on the X447/3 this hull really scoots!!
