    sv27 strut on df26

ok so I know that the sv27 strut is offset but is it ok to sand it flat for use on my df26 or should I just leave it..what are the effects here? to the left to offset torque roll etc.

It offsets the prop walk and keeps the boat tracking straight without using steering trim. I ran one with the angle on a Wildthing ran absolutely beautiful, tracked straight.
I personally like the slight angle more than the offset stuffing tube setups.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

There is a slight angle in the bracket. You really have to look at it to notice it. Looking down from the top the right hand side of the mounting surface is slightly thicker than the left.

ok will try to run as is.Another issue possibly is that the sv27 strut sticks out a few inches past the rear edge of the rudder, should I cut down the strut or order a longer ruder bracket so they are closer together?

Hmmm, I had neve realized that. That's cool, I would just leave it as is.

Why not just use all the sv hardware?

FWIW it's 67mm to the leading edge of the SV rudder blade from the mounting face of the bracket.
LOL just happen to have a full set of SV hardware on the bench, thinking about building another Wildthing.
