Congratulations Doug, that is an impressive FE record. Others have tried, but none have been able to put together two fast passes. I'd have loved to have seen it.

I did see Jerry's big Seaducer run 92 several years ago in Huntsville, and watched him stuff the boat on one pass. Burried half the hull length into the mud, took him 20 miuntes to find and retrieve the boat. Overall quite the show.

I spent two days in Elizabeth City in the spring trying to keep the boat from blowing off, then had issues blowing water lines.
I was feeling pretty good heading to Huntsville but found out shortly that I had to start over again on the setup. I worked my tail off on Saturday trying to get the boat to fly. (the water in Huntsville is just different) My last run on Saturday the boat lifted off 3/4 of the way through the traps, I knew I was close to where I wanted to be. One small adjustment and I was ready for Sunday morning.
I was the first in the water Sunday morning and the pond was flat. My first pass was in the upper 80s and I heard those words we long for, "Back that up". My second pass was just above 90 and I hear Chris Harris say, "Dude, back that up if you can without hurting anything!"( No pressure right?? lol) The next pass was 91.XXX and rock solid! The celebration began!
The equipment was all in good shape, nothing hurting. I'm not certain how much more she has to give, but I can't wait to get back out there between the traps.


Jerry is one of a kind. I'd go to a time trial just to watch him work. I hope I'm able to get into the speeds he's running with that nitro power plant. Like you said, it's not easy, but as you know, it is a lot of fun!

Doug, Have you tried using the larger 5/32" silicone fuel line for cooling lines. This stuff flows lots better then the smaller 1/8", but must be ti-rapped at fittings to stay put.http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFRM9&P=7

My first SAWS in 2006. Jay at my shoulder charitably coaching my pitiful newbi-ness. Made one pass. Mark Grim at the timing table growls : "Back it up, Tony". I look at Jay and say : "I can't-there's no reverse on this thing". Jay gave me one of his looks, clues me in & I set my first record. Good Times.

Hey Keith,
The silicone tubing (Dubro)was blowing up like a balloon and splitting down it's length once I got into the upper 80s. I replaced the silicone with Tygon and installed a ''Y" fitting between the rudder and the inlet at the transom for insurance. Every fitting is doubled ti-wrapped. Worked like a champ!
"Stator friendly" just means I work hard to keep my motors healthy.

Nice job and congradulations on the record Doug. It's nice to see other people playing with the big monos. Nobody nows more tham me how hard it is to get an electric mono to go real fast and not burn stuff up. Next up is still the elusive 100 mph mark.
