    Burnt T240

Thought I'd share some pics of my burnt T240 esc.

I was trying to race it in my 40" mono on 6S2P (crappy cells) before really testing it and Whoa, it did 3 laps and the lipo smoke was billowing out of the hatch tape seams.

My T240 was directly on top of the lipos, no shield with heatsink side down. The lipos were nothing left but, charcoal brickets.

The 40" Carbon Kevlar hull survived with no ill damage except nasty stinky sticky goo, pics later.

The 5692-1200 Kv survived and I'm putting new bearings in since when Chris bravely recovered my boat he had to swamp it to put the nastiness out.

So here is the T240 pretty nasty looking but, yep, she still works fine!!

    Not bad....

Well, of course but, I always add some of my special heat transfer conformal and some DP270.

There is a connector hear the cap side that connects the boards like a Castle esc, etc.. If you incase this area as I did no water can ever get in there and shut down yoour esc.

I never depend on factory waterproofness.

I'll clean it up and completely incase it in heat transfer potting compound. Now to clean the goo out of my boat and get some new cells.
