The blackjack 26 cat had a steerable outdrive. First mod a lot of people did was to get rid of it.

I have used a few of the vxl systems. Comparing what they will handle against other car esc,s i would say there around the 60a mark.

I too have used the vxl systems in a few of my 4 wheelers and when you put a 3s lipo in them they become monsters, plus they are waterproof! anyways I am getting the feeling that you guys
don't want me to do it but my thinking was to combine the agility of the steerable out-drives with the speed of a cat. but you win. i guess ill need to do more research on stingers, stuff tubes and things of that nature. but i'm still going to use the vxl systems! can anyone recommend a good build thread for this hull or anyone like it with the twin drive?

I just built one of the delta cat twins. Its not worth the time it would take to fit those drives.

yes they are fully adjustable. kintec racing. steven has some really cool looking stingers that will fit the delta explorer better than the ones I have. I had to modify the stinger support mounts to make this work, but it turned out much better. The motors are 3674's 1900Kv motor mounts are carbon fiber from Keith bradley. It's a sweet setup we're looking for the 100mph club on this one.

well i guess ill have to save up a little longer to get all the parts I need if I am going this route! and i guess ill use my villain as a rescue boat. I'm new to the whole stuffing tube thing, how does it work and how do you keep it dry inside your boat? enlighten me?

Ok, so I know I'll probably get flamed for this but I was looking at fighter cat for a hull, man they are half the price of these ones here! I really like the explorer hull but after the shipping, ouch! So anyone using the fighter cat 37" Daytona hull? It seems to be the clOsest to the explorer's style and size. Any input? P. s. I'd really rather not get into the whole Ben an FC thing that is going on right now. I am just a regular consumer going where the best price is.

It is the same as the genesis and a pretty nice hull. I'm not going to try to turn you away but they will never get another dime from me.

Ok, so I know this isn't really on topic but I figured it didn't merit starting a new thread. Has anyone used reduction drives in their boats? I'm mainly thinking the ones that are in the villain. I'm running twin 3500kv motors and really don't feel like buying two new motors. I like these (and I already have cooling jackets that work well on them). These will be going into the 37" daytona I have coming any day in the mail. Any suggestions?
