Looking for setup for Falcon 41" Cat

Looking for some help on the best setup to put in 41" Falcon hull I just aquired. Wanting to reach speeds of 75mph+, and I have seen alot of different post but surely by now someone has got it down and the bugs worked out that can help with what I need to purchase for a solid and reliable twin setup. I have plenty of Venom 11.1V 3S35C5000 packs hopefully I can use too. This will be my first twin setup build. Its a bare hull so I am gonna need to get hardware and all. Thanks.

I run a Falcon cat with twin 1717's in it on T180s and runs all day at that speed.

Find it + Buy it + Twin it + Run it = WOOHOO

It may be hard to find two 1717's, if you can't I betcha a pair of 4092 3D's get you there as well..............6s to each motor.

Thanks for any and all info, I have several RTR boats and have made a few mods to some of them but never a scratch build really, will be my first so I am sure I will be asking for help alot. Right now I have two Spartans, one stock, one I modified some runs in 60's, Miss Geico which I also modified runs in 60's, Miss LLumar which I just converted to electric and is a screamer, high 60's, UL1 stock, Nitro Hammer which I converted to electric and is all over the place, hardly ever right side up and two Miss Buds nitro but dont run much anymore love the power and speed of electrics. And now this Falcon which hopefully will end up being a blast. The guy who had this hull started building it for a Nitro but only installed a prop strut and offset rudder on it, thought about single prop but didnt think I could get speed and stability and is why I am leaning to the twin setup. Just started messing with boats a year ago so still alot to learn, have burned up and tore up my fair share.

I run 79 mph on 445's all day long. My set up
          Leo 4082 2200kv 1.5y
          180 sk version 3 esc's
Unfortunately though I run 5cell packs not 3 cell.
However 65 mph on 4cell isnt bad and batteries are little cheaper.
Boat hull is little longer 44"
          Good luck !

Great thread, I was thinking of getting one myself, but was worried it would be hard to get that kind of speed out of such a large and 2700 gram hull, guess its not a problem, I may get one after all, are you gona post the build,I am interested in this one, Shawn.

Whoops forgot to mention its MHz mystic carbon Kevlar hull. Setup should still work on your hull.

Yes I plan to take pics along the way and will post them. I too was wondering about getting those kinds of speeds but after reviewing alot of post and youtube videos its definitely possible. I more than likely will look for other build pics to get the the positioning of everything just right to get the balance, stability and speed without going airborne all the time. I have wanted to build a larger cat cause from the videos they seem to handle the rougher water on windy days alot better.
