    Flexshaft

What is the better flexshaft to get, a one peice threaded or a prop shaft and cable that goes into it?

I'm definately not an expert on this, but I find the two peice units a pain in the #$% to re-grease as you need to remove the strut or the motor to be able to get the flex shaft out. The one peice you can pull directly out from the prop side. I'm not sure if one design is better or not technically or functionally speaking.

i agree with Brew99,, on a one peice you just loosen the motor couple to the flexshaft grab the prop and pull the hole thing out the rear,,this way after you've done the work to get your strut angle and hight correct you dont have to worry about messing that up cuz you dont have to move the strut to get the flex out..

If you use a one piece flex/shaft drive that can be removed by loosening the drive collet - be sure to put a safety collar w/set screw on the flex shaft between the collet & stuffing tube, to prevent loosing the whole drive line if the collet loosens up while running. JIM
