    Dan,
Hope all is going well with your move up north. Well miss you here in D-3. You will catch on to "electrics" by experience and paying attention to others mistakes hopefully not your own. You just have to realize power is awesome but has limits. One of the best tools I have is a digital voltmeter that shows all individual cells. Makes it easy to determine out of balance or possible weak cell rather than taking the pack total and dividing by # of cell. When I come in after a run with 3.7 or more per cell it usually means the batterieds arer safe. My charger tells me how many milleamps it puts back in after the next charge. I have seen a fairly direct correlation with voltage left after a run. The next tool you should have is a infrared heat device and learn to watch motor, batteries and esc temps. Under $50 worth of valuable tools.
As for props a spec motor will turn an m445 well but you need pay attention to run times and temps. The Grim racer 42X55 is the fall back spec tunnel prop and I would recomend a GR 42X66 and 44X66 in your box also. All availiable on here. (OSE).
Heres a link for a voltmeter I have and like.

Hope we cross paths at a race in the future.
