    Insulating the gold bullet connectors?

What do you guys use to insulate these connectors? The original ones had like a vinyl tubing that slipped one over the other to protect them from shorting out or getting wet. I am having heat issues and want to upgrade to the 5.5 mm connectors but nothing is mentioned about insulation. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you buy the connectors from OSE, Steven includes the shrink wrap!

I am aware of heat shrink tubing but to disconnect them you would have to cut it off. Other ones have a vinyl tubing (kind of like fish tank tubing but much thinner) that slides one into the other for a tight seal and allows them to be disconnected. If I use heat shrink I might as well not use the connectors and just solder the wires.

            heat shrink

You don't use a single peice of heat shrink, you cut two seperate peices that cover the outside of the connectors(not the connecting part of the male of course though).
