Thanks Jay for the the words of advice, its people like you that make this forum such a great thing to be a part of, people think these boats sre just toys, and they are, but there is so much more to the hobby, its so interesting and a challange, theres no one I know from where I live thats into FE boats, that kinda stinks. I am glad to be a part of this and thanks for the help you have given me, Shawn.

          I'm confused here Mike.................

First you stated this: "When i get to the water and toss in the Heat cutoff wont let it run."

then this: "within 5-6 minutes I believe its cutting off for high temp"

So is it cutting off immediately or after 5-6 minutes?

5-6 minutes after connecting battery is when it cuts, I connect, tape the hatch, and walk from my Lanai to the lake and toss in but it wont go. However on the walk down I can pull the trigger and the motor will respond.

Did you buy that Apparition used or from an online site? That motor is a china special that comes in the Apparition and Genesis stock boats. It's possibly a 1620kv, but most of the time those RTR boats are setup for 4s and are 2050, 2200, or 2450kv. If 2000kv+ its way too hot for 6s. That's not your current problem. How many beeps do you get when you turn it on? Your esc might not be set for 6s. It should beep 6 times.

You cant tell KV by looking at it, but it looks to me like its a 36mm motor, does anyone know if a 4082 1600 kv will fit in this hull that would be good for the esc and lipos hes running, OSE is out of 4074's except 1400 kv.

I think 4074 is max that will fit. Motor that's in it is a 3674.

Bigmmmike, are the batts 3s or 2s? Are they running in series? You mentioned "3C" which you either meant "3s" or "30C"?
