I have never run a S bend. I usually try for as much angle as i can get. This Usually means putting the motor under highest part of the hatch.
If i have room to move then i put it near were my COG is.

On the other hand, the setup is proven and yes I have the parts. Steven is running it now in the 70's with no heat problems and Pat (Fluid) has chimed in with his approval (for the most part) , thanks again Pat, Steven, and most everyone else .

Regarding the plate, after seeing the boat and folding some test plates, I've already switched from .080 to .050 Al and added some short longitudinal flanges. Its footprint will be kept balanced, but to a minimum. Carbon, for the remaining areas I intend to reinforce is on the way.

It's just a starting point. If I'm disappointed with performance changing components and or making adjustments should be a snap.

            Thanks again.
Fluid's name is Jay...not sure who Pat or if you just got confused???

I don't think Steven or Jay would advise against an HV setup either, but if you have your heart set on LV that's your call. It can be done on LV, I just think it's a better setup on HV if you aren't following class guidlines that limit your voltage.

I RUN MINE WITH A LEO 4082 1600KV ON TWO HYPERION 3S 45C PACKS WITH A SEAKING 180 AND A PRATHER 230 PROP.NEVER GPS BUT DEFINATELY IN 50s.THE BOAT IS A DRAGSTER AND NOT SO GOOD IN CORNERS BUT NOT AS BAD AS MANY PEOPLE MAKE IT OUT TO BE.THE STRUT IS LEVEL ON MINE ,BUT THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN HANDLING ON MINE AFTER A LOT OF FRUSTRATION IS AN OFFSET RUDDER.IT JUST KEPT BOUNCING AND BOUNCING ON AN INLINE RUDDER SYSTEM.I USED A SPARE PRO BOAT OFFSET RUDDER FROM A TOTALLED MYSTIC 29 AND MY DELTA 36 CAME ALIVE AND HANDLED REALLY WELL COMPARED TO HOW IT WAS.

Just reading this thread. I have the exact same motor but I'm running on 5S, I did have thoughts about doing 6S but after much pondering and haggling others I decided to stick with 5S. Keith's advice with running HV seems to be the ticket. I never GPS'd my boat but it's probably in the mid 50's on 5S. Make sure you post pics and videos of your boat when you're done, it'll be cool to see it run in 70's!
