    wet electronics

I have a 41” fountain brushed boat. While running this weekend the boat flipped, the hatch cover came off and the hull filled partially with water. I had to swim out to it and when I got there the boat was upside down and the motor was running wide open. I unplughed the batteries and took it back to shore. I dried everything out. I tried plugging the natteries bak in but as soon as contacy is made the motor wants to run full out.
Does this sound like a big problem like a shorted esc or does stuff just need to dry out longer?
Running a cordite motor and astroflight marine esc.
    Any help would be great.
On a side note can anyone tell me the size of brushless motor I would need in this boat?
    Thanks

Your receiver is probably just wet.Rinse it with some rubbing alcohol and leave it overnight.Try to get the case apart for this. The alcohol will disperse the water so that it doesn't corrode by just sitting for a week to dry out. You can do the ESC too but it is probably waterproof being Astroflight..

Unsure it was a custom build......it does the same thing even without the receiver attatched......

Corrosion x is your friend. With no rx its hard to say there is a problem.

It is my experience that ESC's don't like to be all alone.Especially Astroflights.Dry out the Rx and try it again. You can use a hair drier after the rubbing alcohol to go quicker.
