Depends on what you are looking for, I don't know how much shipping is to your location, I am in California and certain times they have free shipping if your order exceeds certain amount, and that would mean a saving for me. However since I got hooked into FE, I order most of my things here because Tower Hobbies doesn't carry what I am looking for. I must say for a small business, OSE's pricing is extremely friendly, and I actually feel good ordering from Steve here knowing that I in some small way am supporting OSE, anyway, don't take me wrong: I am not preaching you. Just my honest thoughts.

I checked and the codes are only good for members that receive them

Has anyone tried using these codes ??

for $10, i think, you are a member for a year. you get the codes and free shipping over $150. for whatever it is worth, the spartan seems not to have the most sterling reputation with some members on this board. i wanted one anyway, didn't care -- until i saw it. to me the plastic hull doesn't cut it. good luck.

You should be able to use these codes without a membership but for the 9.99 yearly it's worth it for the deeper discount codes you'll use. and an order of $99.99 you'll get free shipping. Keep an eye on the scratch and dent for boats and if you're quick you can get a real deal sometimes, just box damage and you can save 50.00 plus use the discount coupons. 100.00 - $149.99 $10.00 010FT
              $150.00 - $174.99 $15.00 010FV
              $175.00 - $199.99 $20.00 010FW
              $200.00 - $229.99 $25.00 010FX
              $230.00 or more $30.00 010FY
I second on using OSE for most other stuff.

My LHS will order anything from Tower or Horizon, no shipping or brokerage charges to bring it into Canada, you might want to see if your hobby shop will do the same. I haven't done a direct order myself for a couple of years, stuff usually arrives the week I order it, as long as I get the order in by Saturday I have my stuff by next Friday.
Found this to be much cheaper than using the codes. Usually takes a minimum of 10 days otherwise to get anything into Canada no matter who I order from, always gets hung up in customs for a while.
Personally I wouldn't buy a Spartan, plastic hull and endless problems. Stick with Aquacraft or Proboat, companies that actually specialize in boats and know what they are doing!
One of the RTR Pursuits is an even better bet, also a lot more potential for speed. Add a FlySky 3 channel radio and you have a much better quality boat than the other RTR offerings, including AC and PB.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Good point that plastic is not too good for sure

I just wanted something around 36 inch long for more realistic look

small boats just don't do it for me after being into 5 scale cars and buggies

                  thanks guys

Does it have to be a mono? The genesis is a 37" cat
