    Jae21fe motor suggestiom

    Hello all!

I want a good setup for my new jae21 rigger. Ose recommends the ul-1 motor and esc, but I want more speed! What

motor/esc/battery setup will give me more speed? I have considered the neu 1415 but I have heard that this setup kills batteries and

gives run times of less than five minutes.

Is this true? And if so, what do you guys recommend I put in my boat?

First you need to decide what voltage you intend to run. That will help you find the right motor kv.

Dude, this is the 4th thread you've started in the last 3 days with the same basic question about what motor to run. People here are always willing to help, but IMO you'd get more responses keeping it in 1 thread instead of scattered out in 4 threads. There are also several setup and motor combinations already documented in the general and build forums, which can be found by "search". My suggestion is to pick one and run it. The UL-1 will get you into the mid to high 50's reliably. If you don't think that's fast enough, try some others already mentioned, but remember speed, reliability, and cost (cheap). Pick 2 of the three and go run.

You won't see the speeds you think you will no matter what motor you put in it!
There is a lot more to going fast than just the motor.
Higher speeds just compound the problems of a poorly set up boat.
I've got an H&M cat that runs very close to 60mph on a UL-1 motor and esc, my goal is 63mph the record is 62 and change. It's taking a lot of testing of props and setups to get there without blowing something up!
Just stick a UL-1 in it and learn how to set it up and drive it, then worry about trying to get the most out of that setup.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
