just picked up rc boat-volume one, opinions?

Hey I just picked up rc boat volume one, http://rcboatmag.com/

Anyway I read through most of the magazine and its been a long time since I've held an rc boat mag, I actually managed to find a pile of rc boat modeler magazines from 15 years ago in which they reviewed the super hawaii, and it was cool looking at all of the old ads. Anyway the editors are trying to figure out if what they've created is what readers want and are open to suggestions. I'm in no way affiliated with rc driver but it would be nice if FE became more widely known. A lot of the boats reviewed are new and I was thinking about sending the creators an email with tips and suggestions as they've asked for them. To build a delta force mono, an mhz mystic or even something simple requires a firm understanding of the basics. I personally would not have been able to enter the hobby if it weren't for hobbyking and members on this forum but videos of the traxxas spartan really lured me in.

Anyway the more people that get into FE, the more people they're will be to race, more parts to swap, and of course quite a few more used motley crew/miss geico/spartans up for grabs for those who tried but just felt it wasn't for them. With any market as more units are sold manufacturers can worry less about recouping the R&D costs dropping prices more quickly on this stuff.

If anyone else has picked up the magazine I'm curious what you think. Only thing to worry about, expensive boats and cheap lipo chargers/batteries

I certainly enjoyed it myself. I'd like to see more hydro coverage if they do more issues but overall it was great to read a new magazine that shows enthusiasm about the hobby!

I read through it as well. I would have liked to see a build section showing a thorough step by step process. Such as showing building techniques like foam over wood etc. Overall I found it a really good intro.

I just picked my copy up at HobbyTown USA. Magazine is a great influance for beginners to get started in boating. The forums are still the best place to learn.

I would like to see a detailed article written on how to modify props (adding cup) and where to buy prop tools.
