New sleve bearing on flexshaft. Is this right ? (pic's)

It's been a year since I used the boat last. I could not figure out the water issue I had.So it hit the shelf.
But now I have a new flexshaft and some different sleve bearings to try. But I can't remeber if I removed 'something' both in the back and front of the strut when I got the kintec flex and bushing upgrade for my Miss G. Am I right in just using one aeromarine sleve in the back ore do I have to get something for the front end of the strut to ? I can't remenber how it was in stock condition.

    Thanks for looking

I will try to make a run ore two with a new flexshaft and the aeromarine sleve in the back to see if that helps. Also adding some shrink tube over the strutt/stuffingtube to se iff that helps the water issue.

I feel like the strutt/stuffing tube has to much play in it , so if I raise ore lower the strutt it will make a gap.

I too have been converting some of my struts over to the lead/teflon bushings in favor of the Aeromarine(Speedmaster) brass bushings. Just leave a small gap between the drive dog and strut. Re the stuffing tube popping out of the nose of the strut while adjusting : I've had to remove some material from the upper part of the strut (where it is captured by the mounting brackets) to allow it to move further forward and have a better mating with the stuffing tube, which should stay inside the strut. Pictures aren't that good to show this, but

btw this is a wire drive, so no dog-to-strut gap needed
