31.6" RC EP FRP Epoxy Fiberglass Sea Arrow ARR Racing Outrigger Boat .

Anyone know anything about this boat? I read the web site and it doesn't say anywhere what is the recommended electric motor or how many cells can you stuff in the tub. There are several videos on you tube. It can climb out of the water from a dead stop which most of my Nitro riggers can not do.

    Dave.
A couple of things on this one.
The thing is very tail heavy so the batteries need to be up in the front between the spars. The only batteries I had, of any decent size, that I could fit in there were 2 x 2s 5000mah 30C zippy packs. of course there are others but that's what I had. It's a real pain to connect the batteries & I had to make some extension cables to reach the ESC in the next hatch.
The motor I used was a 3674 Leopard 2200kv motor with an M645 prop.
You will need to make a turn fin & bracket for it or it just won't turn.
Here's a vid of mine on the test run.

And a bit of a build log here, if it's any help.

    All the best.
    Paul.

Dave do yourself a favour & get a JAE 21 FE, such a proven design.Theirs been threads on the wooden version R2 (i know this isnt the wooden one your looking at) but the build quality & materials used were terrible. As said your limited what you can get in the tub re batterys etc. Where as the JAE you can go up to larger motors like the 40 series Leopards with little mods & get 5000mah 6s in ok. I know someone that has 8s in his JAE21 FE.

        Thanks Paul,

I knew it was too good to be true and worthy of consideration.
