    Water inlet fitting location

Im in process of putting my Pursuit together.

I see the factory built ones has the water inlet on the right side past the rudder. With my transom layout there is not much room there.

I was thinking of putting it on the left side between the trim tab bolts.

Is there any negative effects of doing this? ANyone have any other better suggestions?

I'd put it up higher than that. As high as possible.

Three things to be mindful of : entry into hull for most direct path to speedy while avoiding proximity to driveline, enough slack to allow full rudder travel AND not too much excess slack to allow tubing to be clipped by prop (happened to me during a race while doing a penalty lap- lost cooling & burned up a speedy)

Two examples of dealing with it :

Since you have a mono, id go with Tones way like he did on his white Insane mono. Run the lines the same way, going through the hole in the rudder bracket. I selfishly copied his exterior cooling method and it works great.

              Thanks for the wisdom guys.

Guess I will squeeze it in on the right side. I would run thru the rudder slot but my pushrod has a bend in that area and I dont want to risk it coming into contact with it.

My silcone rubs the pushrod with no problems at all. As long as the pushrod doesnt have any burrs on it, the silicone will be just fine.
