Decided to use my iPhone as a gps device! So I put it in my pursuit, it gps'd at 42mph, does that sound about right? My setup is a turnigy XK-4074 2000kv, T180 esc and an x642 prop running 2x2s 7.4v 6000mah 25c batteries. I realise that they aren't my best batteries and it did seem a little faster on my 5900mah 60c batteries. I'm thinking of trying an m445 but the ec5 connectors get pretty hot. The motor is hardly warm and the esc isnt too hot either I'm just concerned about my ec5's.

They are still just as hot with the 60c packs. I haven't checked the exact temp. I can hold onto them after a 5min run but they seem hot compared to everything else.Comment

I was thinking of upgrading. I was thinking 8mm. It's just a pain changing over all my packs.Comment

Only 4mm. Will be upgrading those too. Strangely they don't seem to get as hot as the battery connectors, they still get pretty hot though.Comment

Even then, 5.5mm bullets should be ok on the batteries - at least yours doesn't seem like a mega-amp setup. I've never used ec5, so i don't know how they compare. I'd go with bigger ones on the motor to ESC connectors just because I seldom disconnect them. I've been planning to convert mine to 8mm, but have been lazy. They are 6mm now.Disclaimer: I hereby accept the potential loss of motor, ESC, entire boat, or credit rating, and forfeit all expectations of success.Comment
