    CF reinforcment, cloth or plate?

I would like to reinforce the "floor" of my MC. I see some folks using carbon fiber cloth and resin. How about just epoxying a carbon fiber plate to the floor? Would that not work to provide strength and stiffnes just as well or better? Thinking 2mm.

Cloth is the way to go. Since it will conform better to everything it will provide more strength overall.

Thank you. I will go that route then. Which of these is best for laying the carbon fiber cloth then?
      1. Z-Poxy PT-39 30 Minute Epoxy. Resistant to shock and solvents, non-brittle, easy to sand, excellent gap filling. Cures clear. Specially formulated to bond to fiberglass, wood, metals and plastics. Produces permanent bond in 30 minutes.

or 2. Z-Poxy PT-40 Finishing Resin. This is must have stuff for any boater. Waterproofs wood, strengthens hulls great for laying fiberglass or carbon fiber cloth. Odorless and sands easily. 12 FL oz.

The finishing resin is whats recommended. I however use the Hobby King version due to its cheap price.
