    Genisis first run today

    Rum my genesis first time today leopard 4082 1250 kv two 3 s lipo 4000mah 30c with swordfish 200amp esc and a 640 propellor got 38 mph on this set up does that seem to be ok looking for advice only new to this boat thing also got the prop shaft upgrade fitted let me know

    Did you run the batteries in series for 6s? Seems slow for 6s if so. That 4082 can spin ALOT of prop, but the hull is narrow so you will have to fight the torque roll. I'd throw an x645 on it, or an x447.

      Yeah i thought it was slow myself the torque roll is there but makes it a challenge to drive just trying to get advice on getting it going faster the using a y connector for the battery

        A "Y" connector is normally used for parallel setups.................. you sure its in series?

          It's in series two batteries join to go into the esc as one . It *!***!***!***!** itself today motor and esc fried water come up the drive shaft and got wet so back to the drawing board can you recommend what to buy

            Are you sure that was the reason? I mean you need a looooot of water in Genesis to bath the motor which is mount on top.
            Maybe only the esc is dead. Try with another esc. It is difficult to kill a Leo.

              thanks paul the boat just stopped and the motor was making some strange noise like it was rattling i hope it was just the esc

                Y connector sounds like deans, is that right? If so, you should change to bullet connectors. Have you removed the motor to make sure the rotor is intact? Is that what you mean by rattling, or is it stuttering? Was it a lot of water?
