    HK Apparition Motor Choice?

Decided to start finalizing the Catamaran. Need some advice on new motor for it. Have not run this HK 1620 but would like to put a good motor in it now so I dont need to later.

Going to run 4s W/ 60amp Aquacraft ESC. Anyone got recommendations?

gonna be tough with the hull and esc you have but maybe a ul1, i would consider a bigger esc, but thats all dependant of your speed goals

I do have a HK 180esc but does not fit "under the hood"...so to speak. I also tried to fit a Leopard 4082 motor in it...too big. I would like to keep it at 4s as speeds seem to be "in check" (Mid-high 40's). So I guess the Turnigy Aquastar 120A would be another ESC to run.

I do have a UL-1 as well...this is where i got the idea on the ESC...

      Thanks!

It seems that the newer apparitions are coming with a larger lip, and a t180 will fit if some of this lip is removed. I run the Turnigy H500 typhoon outrunner motor, cheap and makes it run mid 40's on 4s and x440 prop. Temps are only 110 on motor 78 on ESc and batts are similar to ESc. I'm thinking of trying a x442 prop to see about a tad bit more speed as it appears I have lots of head room according to the temps.

The typhoon motor also allows about 10 min of playtime on 5000mah batts, which is cool

In have one of the new T-180s in my Apparition. You just have to shoehorn it in front of the motor, caps forward & under the front deck. With a Leopard 4072 2200KV motor your Apparition will push mid 60 MPH. JIM
